Gourd Carving (also known as 'mate burilado') is one of Peru's most traditional hand crafts, used as a means of cultural expression for over 3,500 years ago. Each gourd is meticulously hand-carved with intricate detail and tell a native Peruvian story or a parable from the Bible. Each is approx 3" high.
